Being a member will give you the opportunity to take part in a wide range of exciting adventurous activities on the land, air and water, inspiring international projects, work with young people and help within the local community. The list of activities, projects and events is almost endless. As a Network member, you will have the opportunity to achieve some of the highest personal achievement awards for young people in the UK, including the Queen’s Scout and Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards. You will also have the opportunity to work towards gaining recognition from many governing bodies, as well as developing new skills and building on existing ones.
The Scout Network is the section for
18 – 25 year olds.

The good news is when you get to 18 you will automatically become a member of your local and the National Scout Network. Your local District Commissioner or Scout Network Leader should contact when the time comes, but that does not stop you from seeking them out.

The section is run in a less formal basis than the other youth sections of Scouting; this allows you to fit it around your other commitments. Many Networks run cross county meetings allowing you to expand your Scout Network friendship group still further and access an even wider range of activities.

Start by finding us all on Facebook and join the ‘Hertfordshire Scout Network’ Group to connect with Networkers in Hertfordshire and get the latest event updates. It’s your Scout Network – enjoy it!

Still not sure what you want to do with your Scouting life at 18? When it comes to volunteering as an adult in Scouting, sometimes it can feel like there’s too much choice. That’s why we want to give you the options as simply as possible.
